Sunday Tech Help is free for readers, and we want you to know exactly how it stays that way.

1. Clearly labeled sponsors

Some issues of our Sunday email include one sponsor. It is always labeled “Sponsor.” Sponsors pay for that spot, but they never change our guides or our advice, and we only accept products we would recommend to our own parents.

2. Affiliate links (always marked)

Sometimes we link to a product we truly recommend. If you buy through that link, we may earn a small commission, and it costs you nothing extra. These links are always marked “affiliate link.”

3. Optional reader tips

If a guide helped you, you can leave a small tip with our “Support us” button. It is completely optional. Everything stays free whether you tip or not.

What we never do
